Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care

Location: Boston, MA

Job Type: Travel Contract (13-weeks) Options to extend

Shift Pattern: 36hours/week (3×12’s), Night shift (7p-7a)

Required: NY License, 2 Year Experience, (AHA) BLS, ACLS

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care RN to provide expert nursing care for critically ill patients in our intensive care unit (ICU) or other critical care settings. The Critical Care RN will work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes through advanced clinical practices and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring of critically ill patients, interpreting diagnostic data and responding promptly to changes in condition.
  • Administer medications, blood products, and treatments as prescribed, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Operate and manage advanced life-support equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and care plans, providing emotional support during challenging times.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.

Required

  • Active RN license in the state of MA.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; additional critical care certifications (e.g., CCRN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care or intensive care setting.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
