Pay Range: $96,000 to $158,000 (Base Salary)
Shift: Day Shift (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiation Therapist to join a dynamic team in the Tacoma / Olympia area. This role involves delivering external beam radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncology physician and Medical Radiation Physicist. You will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients while ensuring their safety and comfort during radiation treatments.

Job Description

As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering radiation therapy accurately according to prescribed treatment plans. Your role will involve monitoring patients for physical and psychological reactions, maintaining the treatment schedule, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, medical physicists, and office staff. You will also play an important part in providing emergency support and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the patients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy in accordance with department procedures.
  • Observe patients for any unusual physical or psychological reactions and report them immediately to the Clinical Nurse Specialist or Radiation Oncology physician.
  • Assist in emergency treatment as needed.
  • Maintain the daily treatment schedule and work cooperatively with the physician, physics staff, and front office team.
  • Assist with treatment times, simulations, and diagnostic studies as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Technology program and eligible to sit for the board exam (must pass within two consecutive trials).
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
  • Certification as a Radiation Therapist by the State of Washington.
  • AIDS certification for healthcare workers (7 hours).
  • CPR Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist (preferred).
  • Experience working with Varian equipment (preferred).
  • Open to new graduates.
