Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager to lead clinical operations within our Sub-Regional Outpatient Clinic. The Nurse Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This role works collaboratively with physicians, clinic leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for daily nursing operations within outpatient clinics.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote professional growth and clinical excellence.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and department leaders to improve patient care delivery.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, performance evaluations, and budget-related activities.
- Foster a culture of patient safety, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or eligibility for licensure in Alaska.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and nursing best practices.
Preferred
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Previous outpatient, ambulatory care, or family medicine clinic leadership experience.
