Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Arizona. This position provides occupational therapy services to patients across the lifespan, from pediatric through geriatric populations, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have strong orthopedic experience and a passion for helping patients achieve maximum independence through evidence-based rehabilitation interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals, patient goals, and clinical findings.
  • Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to maximize functional outcomes.
  • Provide treatment for patients with physical, cognitive, developmental, neurological, and psychosocial conditions.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental development activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Occupational Therapist License or eligibility for state licensure.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Strong orthopedic rehabilitation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation experience.
  • Experience working with pediatric and geriatric populations.
  • Experience with custom orthotics and adaptive equipment.
  • Strong interdisciplinary communication and collaboration skills.
