Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long-Term Care

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a Long-Term Care travel assignment in Alaska. This position provides direct patient care and support to adult and geriatric residents while maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have strong patient care skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care in both routine and emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
• Assist with feeding and meal support when necessary.
• Ambulate, reposition, transfer, and transport residents safely.
• Answer call lights and respond promptly to resident needs.
• Provide one-to-one observation and safety monitoring when required.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current unrestricted Alaska CNA Certification.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Ability to safely lift, transfer, and reposition residents.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CNA experience.
• Long-Term Care experience.
• Hospital or Critical Access Hospital experience.
• Telemetry and ECG experience.
