Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) for a full school-year assignment serving early intervention and preschool-aged children. This role provides therapeutic services to children from birth to age five in home, community, and educational settings, helping support developmental growth, mobility, independence, and participation in daily activities. The ideal candidate is passionate about pediatric therapy, family-centered care, and collaborating with educators and caregivers to help children achieve their developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and developmental goals.
  • Provide therapy services to children from birth to age 5 in home, preschool, and community settings.
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, early intervention specialists, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Participate in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school district and state requirements.
  • Educate caregivers and educational staff on strategies to support student development.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Active Oregon Physical Therapist License.
  • Previous pediatric or school-based therapy experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in home, community, and school environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Early Intervention (Birth to 3) experience.
  • Preschool or pediatric therapy experience.
  • School-based therapy experience.
  • Experience participating in IFSP and IEP processes.
