Position Overview

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support a busy Optometry Clinic providing eye care services to patients of all ages. This position combines traditional medical assistant responsibilities with specialized optometry support, including patient screening, ocular imaging, optical services, and administrative coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong patient care skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients for eye examinations.
• Obtain patient histories and perform screening procedures.
• Conduct point-of-care testing as required.
• Accurately document patient information and clinical findings.
• Assist providers with patient care and clinic workflow.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA).
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Preferred

• Optometry or Ophthalmology clinic experience.
• Experience with ocular imaging equipment.
• Knowledge of vision insurance and optical benefits verification.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
