Job Title: Echocardiograph Technologist
Location: Fortuna, California, United States
Pay: USD $95,950 to $120,432 (Base Salary)
Shift: Full-time

Brief Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Echocardiograph Technologist to join our healthcare team in Fortuna, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for performing clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures to assess cardiac health for patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and geriatrics. You will work under the direction of the Department Director and Cardiac Cath Lab Manager while ensuring patient-centered care and contributing to departmental improvements.

Job Description:

As an Echocardiograph Technologist, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and related diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures to evaluate cardiac function. You will collaborate with physicians and medical staff to ensure the accuracy of test results, contribute to quality control processes, and maintain a high standard of patient care.

You will also serve as a clinical and technical resource for less experienced sonographers, ensuring the smooth operation of diagnostic imaging within the department. A commitment to patient safety, comfort, and a collaborative approach to healthcare will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms, color Doppler, and stress tests.
  • Provide excellent patient care throughout all procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to assist in patient diagnoses.
  • Serve as a resource to less experienced sonographers.
  • Participate in quality control and departmental improvement activities.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited program in cardiac echocardiography or equivalent education/experience.
  • Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of national certification examinations in cardiac echocardiography, color Doppler, and stress testing conducted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Experience as a hospital-based sonographer.
