Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide evaluations and therapeutic treatments to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. The Occupational Therapist will help patients improve their functional abilities, regain independence, and develop the skills needed to participate in daily activities and community life.

The ideal candidate will provide individualized treatment plans, maintain accurate patient records, educate patients and families, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on their needs and functional abilities.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, range of motion, coordination, and motor skills.
  • Help patients develop independence in daily activities, including dressing, feeding, meal preparation, and home management.
  • Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
  • Provide therapy for patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, balance, and developmental conditions.
  • Educate patients and families on safety, energy conservation, joint protection, and proper transfer techniques.
  • Conduct home assessments and develop home exercise and rehabilitation programs.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support continuity and quality of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, staff meetings, and professional development.
  • Follow organizational policies, professional standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current valid Washington State Occupational Therapist license or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to evaluate patients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of occupational therapy experience preferred.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience in inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of adaptive equipment, therapeutic activities, and functional rehabilitation techniques.
