Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (Outpatient Surgery)

Location: Chico, California
Facility: Enloe Medical Center (Level II Trauma Center)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts | Variable Start Times
Schedule: 40 Hours per Week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in its outpatient surgery department. The ideal candidate will have strong circulating and/or scrub experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment. Nurses may be required to float to the Main Operating Room as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive peri-operative nursing care to surgical patients.
• Function as a Circulating RN and assist with scrub duties when appropriate.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to surgical protocols throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Support efficient patient flow within the outpatient surgery department.
• Float to the Main OR when required by operational needs.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience.
• Previous successful travel nursing assignments.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience using EPIC Electronic Medical Records.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS Certification.
• PALS Certification.
• Experience in both circulating and scrub roles.
• Experience in outpatient and trauma center surgical settings.
