Travel Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (Scrub Tech)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) for a 13-week travel assignment in Hawaii. This role requires a highly skilled professional capable of independently scrubbing a wide variety of surgical procedures while supporting a fast-paced and efficient operating room environment. The ideal candidate will have strong multi-specialty surgical experience, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to respond to call requirements in a dynamic peri-operative setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Independently scrub and assist during a variety of surgical cases.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instrumentation and supplies.
• Assist with operating room turnover and cleaning between cases.
• Transport patients when necessary.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience in a hospital operating room setting.
• Active Hawaii Surgical Technologist credential/license if required by state regulations prior to assignment start.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Ability to independently scrub multiple surgical specialties.

Preferred

• Experience with robotic surgical procedures.
• Endoscopy experience.
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient surgical environments.
